Remote bespoke jewellery

Commission your bespoke ring remotely

Consultation, stone selection, CAD approval and insured delivery — all handled clearly online. You do not need to sit in a showroom with a tray of diamonds to commission a considered engagement ring. À Vie is built for remote clients across the UK and beyond, with every important decision shared, explained and approved before anything is made.
GIA & IGI certificates CAD approval before production Insured tracked delivery

No showroom visit needed

The whole process is designed to work from wherever you are

Most people assume a bespoke ring has to start in person. In reality, the important parts of the process are clarity, documentation and approval: understanding the brief, comparing certified stones, reviewing the CAD design and agreeing the price before production begins.

Those steps work naturally online. You can ask questions by video call, phone, WhatsApp or email, then approve every stage in writing.

Consultation Video call, phone, WhatsApp or email — whichever suits how you prefer to think and decide.
Design & stone approval You receive certificates, measurements, notes and CAD renders before anything is made.
Made and delivered Once approved, your piece is made, checked and sent by insured tracked courier.

HOW REMOTE COMMISSIONING WORKS

From first message to finished ring

The remote process is structured around evidence and approval: certificates for the stone, CAD for the design, written sign-off before production and insured delivery after completion.

STEP ONE

We talk through the brief

Share the occasion, budget, timeline, metal preference and any images you have saved. We can do this by video call, phone, WhatsApp or email.

No obligation.

STEP TWO

You receive stone options

We send a curated shortlist with GIA or IGI certificates, millimetre measurements and plain-language notes on each option, so you can compare like for like.

No tray. No guesswork.

STEP THREE

The CAD is shared digitally

You review the ring from multiple angles, request changes and approve the final design in writing before a single piece of metal is worked.

You see the design first.

STEP FOUR

Payment is staged clearly

No payment is due until you have approved the CAD design and chosen stone. The balance is due only after completion and checks.

No surprise costs.

STEP FIVE

Your ring is delivered safely

The finished piece is checked, documented and sent by insured tracked courier. The same process works across the UK and internationally.

Tracked and insured.

Common concerns

What replaces the showroom visit? Better information.

Holding a stone in a showroom can feel reassuring, but it does not tell you everything. Independent certificates, exact measurements and design renders give you a clearer record of what you are choosing.

The CAD approval stage also removes much of the guesswork. You are not imagining a finished ring from loose stones and samples; you are reviewing your design before production begins.

Stone confidence GIA and IGI certificates document the exact characteristics of the centre stone.
Design confidence CAD renders show proportions, setting height and detail before production.
Fit confidence We guide sizing remotely and can discuss resizing options where the design permits.

Remote commissioning FAQ

Questions clients ask before commissioning remotely

The short version: you approve the stone, design and price before production, and every important detail is documented.

Every diamond we source is supplied with a GIA or IGI certificate. We share the certificate details with you before approval, including the report number, carat weight, measurements, colour, clarity and cut information. You receive the certificate with the finished ring.

Yes. The design stage exists for that reason. You can request changes to proportions, setting height, prong style, shank width or other details before signing off. Production only begins once the design and stone are approved in writing.

We help you estimate size as carefully as possible before production. If the ring needs adjustment later, resizing is usually available depending on the setting style, stone coverage and metal. We will flag any design that limits resizing before it is made.

Yes. The same remote process works for clients in Ireland, Australia, the UAE and elsewhere. Delivery timing, insurance and any local import duties are discussed before dispatch so there are no surprises.
