A bespoke ring does not have to mean paying more for the same result. In many cases, the opposite can be true: when a business is built around made-to-order commissions rather than stocked retail, fewer costs need to be recovered before the ring is even designed.

That does not mean every bespoke ring is cheaper than every high-street ring. Specification still matters. A larger diamond, rarer colour grade, platinum setting or complex pavé work will increase the cost. The advantage is that the spend is easier to direct toward the choices that change the finished piece.

The useful comparison is specification against price, not price in isolation.

No. The final price depends on the stone, metal, design complexity and timescale. The difference is that À Vie is built around a lean, made-to-order process, so fewer retail costs need to be recovered through each commission. That can make comparable or better specifications more achievable within the same budget.

No. The saving comes from the business model, not from reducing the standard of the ring. We still use independently certified stones, CAD approval, suitable precious metals, UK hallmarking where required and specialist making.

Yes. Send the link, screenshot or specification and we will explain what appears to be included: stone size, quality, metal, setting construction and where the value sits. If bespoke is not the better route, we will say so.

No. We do not have a minimum spend. A realistic budget and a clear idea are enough to start the conversation. If the brief and budget do not currently align, we will suggest practical alternatives before you commit.
