A flush set engagement ring places the stone into a shaped seat in the metal, with the surrounding metal holding the diamond securely around its edge. The stone sits close to level with the band rather than being raised above it in claws.

The result is clean, minimal, and practical. There are no exposed prongs to catch, and the setting protects the stone from everyday knocks better than many raised styles.

Flush settings are especially effective for modern engagement rings, signet-inspired rings, scattered diamond designs, and low-profile pieces where comfort and durability matter as much as sparkle.

Flush settings are a strong choice if you work with your hands, prefer jewellery that does not catch, or want an engagement ring with a quieter, more architectural feel.

They are also useful when the design brief calls for a wider band, a signet-style face, or multiple smaller stones set into the surface of the ring.
